Steve is a Partner with Chiampou Travis Besaw & Kershner LLP, and specializes in providing tax and business consulting services to closely-held entities and their owners. His clients include companies in the manufacturing, retail, real estate, distribution, not-for-profit, food service, gaming and hospitality industries.

He has over 25 years of experience, including 12 years with the Buffalo office of an international accounting firm. His experience also includes 8 years directing the tax function of a $1.7B closely-held multi-national diversified company, doing business in 30 states and 5 countries. He also spent 2 years as the Executive Director of a Western New York non-profit agency.

His selected experiences include:

• Tax consulting and compliance services for publicly held and privately held companies, including worldwide tax minimization planning, multi-state tax planning, and repatriation planning.

• Structuring, planning and due diligence related to acquisitions, sales, and start-up ventures.

• Estate planning and succession planning for closely-held business owners.

• Representation before the IRS related to corporate and individual income tax audits, as well as income, sales, and property tax audit representation before many State tax agencies.
