CTB&K encourages its staff to give back to the community in which we live by giving their time and energy to help local charities. Not only will staff be helping those in need, but they will also achieve personal satisfaction and fulfillment by helping others.
Upcoming Events
The Community Involvement Committee wishes you a happy new year and will be on hiatus during our busy season. Check back for upcoming events in the Spring!
Past Events
Niagara Falls Boys & Girls Club
CTB&K was proud to donate gifts to needy children at the Niagara Falls Boys & Girls Club. Our tree in the main lobby was filled with many toys and sporting equipment. All of the gifts were delivered to the Club in mid-December so the children had something to open on Christmas Day!
Heart & Soul
Heart Love and Soul is a food pantry and dining room serving the people of Niagara Falls, NY. It is sponsored by the Sisters of St. Francis at Stella Niagara. In November, we visited Heart & Soul food pantry in Niagara Falls, NY. We packed groceries for over 400 needy families for their Thanksgiving dinner, we served around 200 lunches to those in need of a hot meal and then handed out the Thanksgiving grocery bags and turkeys/chickens to the families. Visit our facebook page to view pictures of our day at Heart and Soul.
Cradle Beach Camp
In July, we visited Cradle Beach Camp.
Cradle Beach Camp serves the needs of disabled and disadvantaged children from Western New York. They provide a healthy environment and organized activities to promote socialization, self-worth, and decision making, in an atmosphere of love and acceptance.
Visit our facebook page to view pictures of our day with the kids.
American Cancer Society - Hope Lodge
On Friday, May 15, the CTB&K staff lended a hand to the Hope Lodge. The Hope Lodge Buffalo is a tangible reflection of the American Cancer Society's commitment to improving the quality of life for cancer patients and their loved ones. Hope Lodges are a "home away from home" made available at no cost to patients undergoing active outpatient treatment for cancer. We painted rooms, weeded the gardens and baked cookies in the kitchen.
Ongoing Events
Each Friday in the summer, the CTB&K staff dresses down for charity. Employees contribute a small donation to wear jeans. This past summer, we collected over $2000! The funds were donated to a different local charity each week.
American Red Cross Blood Drive
Our most recent blood drive was held on Wednesday November, 18, 2009 at 45 Bryant Woods North. Thank you to all of those who donated. The public are invited to attend all of our blood drives. Our next blood drive will be scheduled in the Spring of 2010. Please check back soon for the scheduled date.
