Principal

John is a principal with Chiampou Travis Besaw & Kershner LLP and specializes in tax services for multi-state, closely held companies. His clients include companies in the real estate, service, technology and manufacturing industries.

He has over 15 years of public accounting experience, including 5 years with the Buffalo office of an international accounting firm, as well as ten years with local accounting firms. His experience also includes ten years with one of the largest privately held companies in Buffalo where he had responsibilities in corporate and shareholder level tax planning and compliance.

His selected experiences include:

• Supervision of multi-state tax review, control group structure reviews and other tax minimization engagements for closely held corporations and their shareholders.

• New York State tax credits, including benefits under the Empire Zone Program.

• Sarbanes-Oxley tax process reviews.

John received his Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting from SUNY Fredonia.
